Gord & Bev's Legacy
The generosity this fund was built on — and the family that came before it.
Where This Came From
The Tallman Giving Fund exists through the generosity of Gordon G. Tallman and Beverley A. Tallman. Gord retired as Senior Vice President of Royal Bank's Prairies region after a 42-year career, and spent it — and the decades after — on boards, campaigns, and causes in healthcare, education, and military support. Bev, née Bush, grew up in Kemptville, Ontario, where her family roots trace back to Northern Ireland.
Their story begins earlier still, with William Guy Tallman (1918–1951) and Marian Josephine Hyland Tallman (1917–2005). After William's passing at just 33, Marian raised five children — Ann, Gerry, Gord, Betty, and Don — on her own, instilling the values of hard work, perseverance, and family first that the fund's mission still runs on.
